/ 04FAQ
Nine questions, answered port by port.
-
01 / 09Rotterdam, Netherlands
How long does a shipment take?
Land freight inside Egypt usually arrives in 1 to 3 working days. Sea freight depends on the route: about 5 to 12 days across the Mediterranean and 25 to 35 days from Asia.
Air freight is usually 2 to 5 days door to door. Every quote states the transit time for your route.
-
02 / 09Gdańsk, Poland
Will I know where my cargo is?
Yes. Your operator sends an update by WhatsApp or email at each step: pickup, departure, arrival, customs release and delivery.
You can also call at any time during working hours.
-
03 / 09Odesa, Ukraine
Which documents do I need?
For most international shipments: a commercial invoice, a packing list, the bill of lading or air waybill, and a certificate of origin.
Imports into Egypt also need an ACID number. We send you a checklist for your shipment with the quote.
-
04 / 09Baku, Azerbaijan
Can you register the ACID number for me?
Yes. Our customs team handles the ACID registration with your supplier before the goods are shipped, so the cargo is not held at the port.
-
05 / 09Jebel Ali, UAE
What can't you ship?
Weapons, narcotics, counterfeit goods and any item banned by Egyptian customs or by the destination country.
Some dangerous goods, such as batteries, chemicals and flammable liquids, can travel with the correct classification and packing. Tell us what the cargo is and we confirm before you book.
-
06 / 09Mumbai, India
Is my cargo insured?
Carrier liability is limited by law and rarely covers the full value of the goods. We recommend cargo insurance for the full invoice value, and we can arrange it for you.
The premium is a small percentage of the cargo value and is shown on the quote.
-
07 / 09Port Louis, Mauritius
What happens if goods are damaged?
Take photos and note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. Then send the photos to your operator within 3 days.
We open the claim with the insurer and follow it until it is settled.
-
08 / 09Beira, Mozambique
How do I pay?
By bank transfer in Egyptian pounds or US dollars. New customers pay before dispatch.
Regular customers can apply for monthly invoicing with agreed credit terms.
-
09 / 09Kinshasa, DR Congo
Are there hidden charges?
No. The quote lists every charge: freight, port and terminal fees, customs and delivery.
Duties and taxes set by the government are shown separately and passed on at cost.
